Well, 2008 was a hard one but life goes on. It was craaaazy! War, Gas, Jobs, Black President, The American Dollar, me punching walls, breaking shit, going to therapy, blah blah blah etc etc…Personally it was kind of tough for me. Lots of Ups and Downs but I guess it was nothing I couldn’t handle. We all had to be strong to make it through the year. But all that Hard Work we put in will be the reason why we all win in 2009! This coming year to me is all about progress, success and fighting to be happy. I’m going to leave all the negative in 2008 and welcome the positive in 2009. I’m so excited about the year to come! Lets make it the best year ever! I wish you all a very healthy and happy new year, God bless you all! 2009 is Miiiiiiine! Moohoohahahahahaaaaaa LOL See you next year Suckaaaaaz

This video is f*ckin hilarious! Gotta love my old school DC people! Laaaaawd have Mercy!

Ralph Waldo “Petey” Greene, Jr. (23 January 1931 – 10 January 1984) was an African-American television and radio talk show host. A two-time Emmy Award-winner, Greene overcame drug addiction and a prison sentence for armed robbery to become one of Washington, D.C.’s most prominent media personalities. On his shows he often talked about subjects such as racism, poverty, religion, sexuality, recreational drug use, government issues, and current events of that time.talktome.jpg

Petey Greene was portrayed by Don Cheadle in the 2007 film Talk To Me, which is based on his life and career. This is an amazing movie, please check it out one day because it’s very powerful and it has lots of comedy.

Back in 2000 this article really inspired me and my lifestyle. I got tired of trying to seperate the two cultures  and the music that I love so much which are Hip-Hop & Rock. On a normal day I will listen to everything from Metallica to 2pac effortlessly so it would be only right and natural that my taste in music would insipre the way I create my own music and live. So here’s a great article that will further explain what this “Hip-Rock” thing is, where it came from and who started it all. enjoy!

Hip-Rock: Growing fast and furious

(CNN) — Hip-Rock, one of the biggest crazes wherever young people and stereos gather, is the next step in popular music’s evolution.

Fusing hip-hop with the aggressive, funk- and metal-driven guitar riffs that have been around since the 1970s, hip-rock’s practitioners are gaining notice.

With artists such as Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine and Korn leading the way, the hip-rock trend is growing in leaps and bounds — something it didn’t do in the beginning, according to hip-rock forerunners the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

“The world was deaf to what we were doing,” said lead singer Anthony Keidis. “Hip-Hop hadn’t been around long enough for people to be comfortable with it, let alone a hybrid of that and something else.”

But now, music fans are more than comfortable with merging it with other genres. As Kid Rock contends, they crave it — and the rabble-rousing lifestyle with which hip-rock is associated.

“People are ready to see some rock ‘n’ roll again,” he said. “They want somebody up there like me. ‘Girls: love ‘em. Liquor: like to drink it. Rock-n-Roll: like to play it hard.’”
