When Barack Obama was born on this date in 1961, it was a pretty safe bet his folks didn’t expect that he’d grow up to be the president. Not that he wasn’t smart or anything — it just wasn’t something Black kids were told back then, even those with one White parent.
President Barack Obama turns 48.

But now that he has become the nation’s first African-American president, that hope will forever be held out to American kids of all races.

Neither the spokesman for the president nor the spokeswoman for the first lady would disclose how the president planned to celebrate his birthday.

The president, however, doesn’t appear to have plans to take the day off to celebrate. Instead, he’ll be having lunch with Senate Democrats at the White House to “talk about the priorities that they have, to talk about what has been accomplished in the first six and half months of the administration,” spokesman Robert Gibbs said Monday.

It’s sad but I’m not surprised we still live in a disgusting world like this! Obama is trying to bring the world together and make change but these idiots are talking so much shit! There is nothing more to say, the world is just going to be racist no matter what…Fail.

I’m speechless! I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am for this man, my people (any race of positive and progressive individuals), and this great nation! My heart and prayers go out to him and his family. I hope God will keep them out of harms way and bless them on this historic journey!
As you can see below we came a long way in this country. To see a man who looks like me become president is just amazing! I would have never imagined this, I still get emotional lolol…I’m so happy to be alive in these times! We came a long way and now we have a responsibility, no more complaining, lets make a change and do better! We can do anything!

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls!
I thought this was an appropriate post for any moment in time we’re in…especially this year tho. We are swearing in a new president in a week and this country has been through ups and downs alot lately. But Change will come, Change has come. There is a lot of change that I am making in my life lately too. I am relentlessly living life to the fullest, trying not to sweat the b#ll$h*t, and being grateful! I’m laughing more, working harder, staying healthy, making more music and doing whatever I have to do in order to make sure I’m enjoying the beautiful journey of life! I feel renewed and nothing can stop me!
So for your listening and viewing pleasure I have posted this video of Sam Cooke’s “Change gonna Come”…this song makes me feel sad, happy and powerful all at the same time (I know it’s crazy but music just moves me)…I can definitely relate to it and I love the hopeful message that he gives when he sings this timeless song. Enjoy!

America is great indeed! I know it’s late but whatever this feeling will last forever…WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT! I’m very proud of the whole thing. I was rockin’ my Obama “HOPE” hoodie today and got so much love and compliments on it…that man and this event has made me so proud to be an American for the first time in my life. This has inspired me to chase my dreams even harder because I absolutely feel like I can do anything! This is start of my journey to reaching my goal of getting signed and having my music heard throughout the world. I need all the support I get. Because when I make it, we all make it. Since I have a talent that can influence the world and reach many people it’ll be only right that when I have the means I will give back to the people (especially the children) of the world. Always remember that I’m making music and doing all this is for everybody but me. The have-nots, my family, and my future fans will benefit more from all this than I ever will. Don’t get me wrong this is MY DREAM and I’m doing music that I love making but if it was for me and only me I wouldn’t be doing this in the first place. This is the start of me really putting myself out there in the world to be judged, loved, hated, and criticized. But I will learn from this all when I make it. I have come to far to give up now! This is my passion that is fueled by my joy and pain…so lets do this…I’m ready show the world what I got…so here goes…
